When I was little, I used to be a child that enjoyed lining up his toy cars in strictly defined lines, according to colour, size, speediness, and so on. I also spent many happy hours reading old 'Which? Car' manuals, absorbing the comparitive accelerative properties of, say, a Hillman Imp and a Rover Princess when overtaking in 3rd gear.
You can imagine, then, how much I liked filling in my 'I-Spy Cars' book. Mmm.
I don't line up toy cars anymore, but there's still a latent yen for completing lists and whatnot. I'm also much keener on beer than I was at the age of seven. These two attributes combined awfully, when I came across the Young's Directory - a list of all Young's pubs, most of which are in London.
I like Young's. I like I-Spy books. And so, a hobby was born.
